Dedicated to happy, contented, friendly, rehomed Trailhounds

Lady (R.I.P.)

Very sadly Lady lost her fight against a spinal nervous disorder just before Christmas 09, she was 10 1/2 years old and we had to let her go to that great big fell in the sky. She was a wonderful hound, a fantastic character and we miss her loads.

Gone but never forgotten

We love you Lady

We were so impressed, as we advised you to do, we did it again and rehomed a beautiful bitch called Lady (that's her above) formerly known as Charmer when racing, and she really is both of these things.

Her original owner retired her from racing after injury and whelping and we were looking for another Trailie and a companion for Max. Lady has filled the post admirably and although we have had a few more hurdles to cross (excuse the pun) than when we rehomed Max our opinions on Trailhounds remained unchanged - they are wonderful, affectionate, sometimes mischievous dogs who make great family pets.

Lady being almost nine years old now is a much less energetic dog, however, you shold see her playing with Max and Suzie, then she has a new lease of life, as she gambols around the garden. She is the most affectionate dog ever, she could lick for England if such a competition existed. Her tail is the waggiest around, and she never stops in her quest to be first at the food bowls.

If we had the room we could happily have another one or two or three, perhaps we shall have to move! (we did move then we had our third dog Suzie).

Max and Lady enjoying a day running free in the local fields, although they picked up the scent of a fox or deer, they did stay close to hand this time!
